10 Hours Risk Education and 20-Hours Treatment

Offenders that have been classified as Significant Risk have to complete 10 hours of DUI Risk Education, 20-hours of treatment, and engage in a developed continuing care plan. The State of Illinois has reserved this classification risk to DUI offenders who:

  1. have one prior conviction or court ordered supervision for DUI, or one prior statutory summary suspension from a DUI arrest, or one prior reckless driving conviction that was reduced from an original DUI arrest; and/or
  2. had a blood alcohol concentration of .20 or higher at the time of their most recent DUI arrest; and/or
  3. presented with 2-3 symptoms of a substance use disorder during the time of their evaluation.

Only providers that have received a DUI Risk Education and Treatment license from the Illinois Department of Substance Use Prevention & Recovery may legally provide you with Significant Risk DUI Services.
